Assessment: entry ticket
Description of the assessment: this assessment is about asking the students question before they enter the classroom. The students need to answer the question to enter and it helps the teacher to see what they understand. It ‘provide teachers with a quick student diagnostic’ (Cox, n.d.)

Learning outcome: K2SGD1- manipulate, identify and sort familiar 2D and 3D shapes in exploration and play and recognize them in everyday contexts
Description of the activity: I asked the students questions about 2D and 3D shapes. I showed them different 2D and 3D shapes and I asked the students to tell me what is the name of shapes and is it 2D and 3D shapes?

Assessment: Think-Pair-Share
Description of the assessment: think pair share is a strategy that 2 students talks together and share their ideas about something. It helps the students to appreciate each other opinions and respects their point of view. “This strategy requires students to (1) think individually about a topic or answer to a question; and (2) share ideas with classmates. Discussing with a partner maximizes participation, focuses attention and engages students in comprehending the reading material” (Think-Pair-Share, n.d.).

Description of the activity: I asked the students to think about the different shapes they see around us. Then I asked each 2 students to turn to each other and talk about the different shapes they see and if it were 2D or 3D shapes.






The students were discussing the different 2D and 3D shapes they see around them.

Assessment: exit ticket
Description of the assessment: this assessment is about asking the students question before they leave the classroom. The students need to answer the question to enter and it helps the teacher to see what they understand. “the teachers use the exit ticket as a quick assessment tool. Exit cards are designed to collect feedback about a lesson from students” (Cox, n.d.).
