Learning outcome: K2PA2 - copy simple repeating patterns

   
Description of the assessment: I gave each student two papers that include patterns that they need to complete. I asked the students to cut the picture and complete the patterns. When they finished I asked them to create a pattern using the rest of the picture. This assessment includes three task:
 

1. Task 1: finish and complete the first AB pattern.

2. Task 2: create a pattern without a help.

3. Task 3: explain why it is a pattern.

 

Materials: patterns papers, scissors, glue and pencils.
 

Grading criteria: if they got all the three tasks correct they are master 3/3
                             if they got two tasks correct they are developing 2/3
                             if they got one task correct they are emerging 1/3
